HR Generalist
What You Must Have:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum 6 years multi-state generalist/HRBP experience (including California) required
• Experience in the hospice industry is strongly preferred; must have healthcare experience
• Ability to work with other employees and provide customer focused support for field agencies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Must have exceptional computer skills, including internet research and operating on-line applications
• Experience working with an HRIS (cloud based) strongly preferred
• Ability to prioritize work responsibilities efficiently and consistently
• Organized work habits, accuracy, and proven attention to detail, with strong analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills

What You Will Do:
• Partner with site management on payroll processing, benefit enrollment/questions, OSHA, employee relations, workers compensation, and staffing.
• Assist employees with benefit and payroll questions.
• Ensure fair, consistent, and objective application of HR policies, procedures, and relevant local, state, and federal laws.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relation issues in collaboration with supervisor.
• Conduct ongoing HR compliance audits (I-9s, licenses, certifications, onboarding, wage and hour, HRIS accuracy, etc.) and report results.
• Participate in acquisition preparations, including supporting new managers onboard successfully with the company.
• Support site managers with reminders on completion of timely performance reviews/merit processing, utilizing company tools (e.g., 30/60/90-day touchpoints), etc.
• Guide sites on utilizing tools to create an immersive and supportive onboarding experience.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends.
• Always maintain a high degree of confidentiality due to access to sensitive information.
• Maintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department.
• Follow all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements.
• Timely submission of all documentation.
• Performance of other duties as required.
