A hospice house is a peaceful home-like residence where terminally ill individuals receive short-term hospice care. Patients feel at home, visitors are welcome, and quality, dignity-focused hospice care continues.
All of our hospice houses feature pleasant, comfortable decor; patient rooms equipped with needed medical devices that also reflect each individual’s values and comfort items; private bathrooms; common areas for dining and visiting (including children); a chapel/meditation room; and care provided by our compassionate hospice team members.
Although most hospice care is provided in the place a patient calls home, sometimes a patient may qualify for care in a hospice inpatient setting. Whether for a short-term medical crisis or when a patient’s caregiver needs a break from their caregiving duties, we are here. For qualified patients seeking a residential hospice stay, Heart to Heart offers a private pay option for room & board. Visitors are welcome 24/7, through our private family entrance.
As you step into one of our inpatient facilities, you will notice the tranquil comforts of home. The private rooms are beautifully decorated with warm and inviting colors. Families are encouraged to bring flowers, photographs and other favorite items to remind patients of a life well lived. Each private room has seating for several visitors as well as accommodations for one overnight guest.
We have created ample seating for guests in the many warm common areas so you can spend quality time with your family. Children and some vaccinated pets are welcome.
Although remaining close by is important, time may be needed to rest, reflect, and visit with family or friends. You will find a full array of amenities to help stay close to your loved one while tending to personal or business matters.
Our team of onsite physicians, nurses, chaplains, social workers, hospice aides and volunteers are available to respond to your needs. A comprehensive care plan will be outlined for your loved one. It will include patient goals, history, current symptoms, disease progression, pain management and emotional support.
Our goal is to provide comfort, support and dignity for all during your time at our inpatient center.
This facility is conveniently located to serve patients coming from the Oakland, Wayne, Macomb and the Detroit Metro area.
